A Few of My Favourite Things

Hello to all our Head Start friends and families.  I don't want to say it too loud but the countdown to Christmas is on so I thought I would share some of my favourite things with you.

I love the movie The Sound of Music and this song always reminds me of the simple things in life that can bring pleasure.

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favourite things

Cream coloured ponies and crisp apple strudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favourite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favourite things

So on that note I thought I would share with you some toys that I have discovered over the past year that have become my favourite things.

First on my list is this CUTE little Pop up Turtle. He is great for strengthening those little fingers for all those fine motor skills like dressing and writing.

He can be ordered from the Sensory Corner on line or I also spotted them in Toy World last week if you want to check them out.

Hope you have had a lovely weekend and we look forward to seeing you all at our Head Start Headquarters next week

From the Head Start Team
